In the Sheets/Heikal Group, you will do cross-disciplinary research at the interface of biophysics, biochemistry, cell and molecular biology, analytical and physical chemistry, optics and materials science. UMD undergraduates can volunteer, take Chem 3194 for credit, or participate in the University of Minnesota Undergraduate Research Opportunity Program (UROP). Undergraduates often work in our group through Chemistry & Biochemistry's Swenson Summer Undergraduate Research Program (SURP).
